passing custom objects in navigationcontext

Hi,

Currently the UriQuery only seems to allow passing parameters in string format. Is there anything available to pass custom objects across? If not then is it planned for the next release?

Cheers,

Hi Ganesh,

There is no specific guidance related to this topic in Prism 4 out of the box. But if your scenario requires sharing an object between different views, you could use the communication mechanisms provided by Prism. For more information you could take a look at the RegionContext and Shared Services sections at MSDN.

If you need more guidance about Navigation, you can take a look at Chapter 8: Navigation. Additionally, you can check the following blog post in Karl Shifflett's blog: Prism v4 Region Navigation Pipeline

As of today there is no information about passing custom objects as parameters in future releases of Prism.

I hope you find this helpful.
