Prism and Silverlight?

Mar 14, 2008 at 2:50 PM
Are there any plans to develop the core Prism libraries to work on Silverlight also? I already have the Prism libraries running on SL Beta 1 but there are already a couple of issues mostly with the MetaDataInfo class because of DependencyObject not having any public constructors in SL.

Currently we are keeping the focus on WPF in order that we do not lose focus. We will be looking at Prism in the context of Silverlight in the future. There has also been talk of a Silverlight port in our soon to be launched Prism contrib project. Maybe you can help out ;)

Yes, I would be interested in contributing to that projects. What is the timeframe for the Prism contrib being public?

<STRIKE>PrismContrib has not yet been updated to support the latest version. I believe there are plans to do this.</STRIKE>

I checked and PrismContrib has indeed been updated to support Silverlight 2 Beta 2.

I am also interested in contributing to the Prism for Silverlight.

This is what I have done so far:

Hi guys, just to let you know that we have been spiking around the migration of the Composite Application Library to Silverlight and that we have published yesterday the results. You can download the spike by getting the latest change set of the source control.
You might find useful the following posts about the migration:

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Please let me know if this helps,
