Region inside UserControl

Jul 6, 2011 at 5:57 AM

Hi list,

i have a UserControl wich i can add to my MainRegion. This UserControl has some Regions like below inside. The RegionManger can't find the Regions included in my TabControl.

So:

MyUserControlAddedToMainRegion

       TabControl

            MyFixedTabItem

            MyFixedTabItem

            TabItemWithRegionA

            TabItemWithRegionA

            TabItemWithRegionB

            TabItemWithRegionB

      TabControl

MyUserControlAddedToMainRegion

What to do.

Thanks

Peter

Hi Peter,

If you're placing the regions inside a DataTemplate, you might find the following thread useful:

Region defined in a view is not added to RegionManger.Regions collection

Additionally, if you're using Silverlight 5, this post by Damian Schenkelman might be useful as a possible workaround for this behavior:

Binding to View Model properties in Data Templates. The RootBinding Markup Extension

I hope you find this helpful.
