Supporting multiple environments (settings) in one application

What is the best approach to create an application in PRISM that supports multiple environments (at the same time)? Each environment uses the same code but can have different settings (url to service / ...)

The problem in most of the examples that I see, is that all of them uses only one container.  Should one use a container for each environment ? ,...

In MEF how can one configure a service ? All the examples in the prism library use services that have fixed settings to locate the underlying data.

Alex,

Could you be a bit more clear about what you are trying to achieve?

Suppose you create an enterprise application.

That application has some settings that differ in each environment: development / acceptance / production / simulation ...

I would like then to create one shell in which I can access that application for developement / acceptance /... at the same time (not => log in to development , do some work, log out, log in to production, do some work, log out).
