Custom Bootstraper that Splits Loading Modules

Nov 7, 2008 at 10:36 PM
I thought I ran across an example of a custom Prism bootstrapper, that loaded some modules at start-up and then loaded other modules later.  But now I can't seem to find it again.  Please pass on the link if you have come across it.

Thanks,

Hi Mark,

If you are referring to loading some modules when the application initializes and loading other modules based on a particular circumstance you are looking for modules loading on demand.

From the Composite Application Guidance for WPF documentation: "A module is loaded on demand in reaction to an event during the application life cycle, instead of being loaded on application startup."

An example of loading modules on demand is shown in the Dynamic Modularity QuickStarts which you might find useful.

You might also find useful the following article (from the Composite Application Guidance for WPF documentation) that has some more information about dynamically loading modules:

·         How to: Dynamically Load Modules

Please let me know if this helps.
