Prism Performance Problem In App That Uses View Injection - WPF Shell

We're having a problem with a loading delay that occurs in a Prism based WPF application.  I wanted to start general to see if there are any noted performance issues when view injection is utilized and how we could troubleshoot this (e.g. what we should look at).

We have an application that has an MS Office style Ribbon control and three regions in our shell.  When the user clicks on particular tabs or buttons a view can load into one of the regions, however the first time they load the view there is quite the delay (this does not occur in subsequent loads).  The delay even occurs when we load a test view with no data/complex interactions.

There are no known issues in Prism that could cause a performance issue when adding a view through the View Injection approach.

You could try using different types of regions, and using View Discovery to see if the performance issue stays. You could also try running the application in another computer, to discard that the cause of your performance issues is the computer itself.

If you can't find out where the problem lies, it would be helpful if you could provide us more information about your scenario.

I hope you find this helpful.
