Hosting only the Shell or all Modules?

Hello,

I am using Prism - Silverlight4.  I utilize a ModuleCatalog within the Shell to "find" my other modules. I was wondering if I should only host the Shell (xap) on the Webservice only and let Prism find the other modules for me. Or do I have to host each single module project nonetheless on the Web project so that their XAP are also visible on the ClientBin next to the Shell.xap?

Many Thanks,
Houman

Hi Houman,

Based on my understanding of your scenario, you only need to host on IIS the web project of your application.

In the ClientBin folder you could host all the XAP files (not only your Silverlight project XAP file but also the other project´s XAP files). This will be made automatically if you create your modules projects as Silverlight Application, inside your solution.

You can read more about Modularity here.
