Disconnected Service Agent from SCSF

Hi,

Is it possible to use the Disconnected Service Agent application block from SCSF with CompositeWPF/Prism ?

Thanks.

Hi

Yes it is possible. The Disconnected Service Agent application block does not have any dependencies on CAB. It only uses the Endpoint Catalog and the Connection Monitor application blocks.

You will need to register an instance of your Agent class into your container and then inject it, for example, in your Presenter classes.

The Disconnected Service Agent QuickStart is a sample application that does not use CAB/SCSF.

Please, let me know if it helps.

Hi rwollgar,

We created a CompositeWPF sample application that uses the Disconnected Service Agent application block:

Perhaps you could find it useful.

Hi Mariano,

Thank you very much for your help. Much appreciated.

I am new to CompositeWPF and WPF in general. In the online documentation it is mentioned that there is very little designer support. (.i.e. drag n drop of controls, etc)
My question is: Can I use expression Blend to design forms and use them in CompositeWPF to implement business logic etc... or am I limited to editing XAML ?

Thank you for your help.

Hi rwollgar,

Yes, you can use Microsoft Expression Blend to edit the fixed portion of your windows (the remaining sections of the window are dynamically inserted into the regions by the modules and can be edited independently).

Perhaps you may find useful the following topic in the CompositeWPF documentation that shows some aspects of the Stock Trader RI in Microsoft Expression Blend:

·         Design Guidance for Composite Applications for WPF

Please, let me know if it helps.
