Hello,

I was wondering if/how an event can be published from within the Prism framework. I 'd be interested in publishing an event so that external modules can handle it.. can this be done? What would be the best way?

I've created an event within the framework in a "PrismEvents" folder that I wish to publish...

Thanks

Hi Harold,

Have you checked the Event Aggregator provided with Prism, I believe you could find it useful as it provides an event mechanism that enables communication between loosely coupled components. You could find more information about this in the following chapter of the Prism documentation:

I hope you find this handy,

of course.. I've downloaded the source code, have it under source code control and use it regularly. Was more interested in wondering if there is a best way to publish an event internally in the Prism framework...

Thanks

Hi Harold,

It would be helpful for us if you could provide us with more information about what you are trying to achieve. For example, what kind event you want to raise, where you want to raise it and what components you would like to subscribe to it. Like this we would have a better understanding of your scenario and we could help you further with this.

I got this working the way I needed to... thought it was more involved.. but just the same as doing it from an application...

Thanks
